Some diners note that the temperature inside can be chilly at times, which might detract from an otherwise perfect dining experience. Instances of cold draughts reported have raised concerns, as comfort is essential while enjoying a meal. Additionally, while many appreciate the menu variety, a few comments mention that it could benefit from more dishes to cater to broader tastes. The small menu is noted by some as limiting, despite the high quality of the dishes presented. Lastly, during peak times, the high occupancy can lead to longer wait times, which might be inconvenient for those looking for a quick bite.
Starters were delicious, we had duck roll and prawn toast. We then had roast beef which was tender, cooked nicely and it came with a huge amount of side dishes which were all cooked to perfection. The desserts were sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fondant which were both again excellent. Highly recommend this place.
It was a bit chilly in the restaurant, cold draughts on the back of my head. Nice decor and redesign. We ordered Cheese flatbread, followed by the mains of Scouse with pastry lid and chips. OMG.. the wife struggled to finish her Scouse. I managed to eat all mine and finish hers. The chips were some of the best chips we've had in awhile, quite possibly better than the chips from Sixty Kitchen!
Amazingly good food and excellent experience, service very good. Atmosphere terrific. Deserves to be supported so locals and not so locals give it a try. Fantastic menu better food than some much more expensive places. Lovely wine too served at the correct temperature (red). Come on Formby give them some love.
Maybe a small menu but very well cooked, great service would recommend you give it a try. will be back when in the area.
Great menu with breakfast options available all day. Fantastic value for money with friendly and helpful staff
A wonderful welcoming find... highly tecommend
Excellent lunch, friendly staff. Nice decor, will come back soon.
Start your meal with the confit duck leg spring roll or the prawn toast. For mains, the roast beef shines with generous sides, or go for the duo of lamb for a hearty option. Don't skip dessert; the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fondant are winners.
